To make a long story short-we met on Bumble!! I know! Just two people swiping and scrolling, who had no idea what would end up happening. I messaged James on Bumble (for those who don't know, bumble is a dating app where the female messages first), mainly because he was cute and said he worked in the medical field. I remember thinking, I just need someone who understands me, understands my passion for medicine and being a public servant - and that's what I got! A few messages later and we had a date planned to get drinks at Bar Louie near UCF. I was pretty nervous, but he was so sweet and kind to me, and before I knew it he was hunched next to me showing me traumatic photos of detached body parts and zooming in on all of the bloody bits. I was hooked. We talked about medicine, Harry Potter, and probably everything else that we both love. I made a mention of how late it was, just to alert him of the time because he worked the next morning, but unfortunately he took that as a que to end the date (I would have gladly stayed and gotten ice cream with him..I would like that on record..). The next day, he asked me on another date, because ours was cut short. I asked if we could get breakfast at 8am the following day, and we never stopped seeing each other after that. I can only describe the way we met and the months following as nothing less than magical. Between going to Disney for the first time since I was a kid, to laughing over reality shows, and all of the other amazing, silly moments that happen when you meet your other half. I had truly found my twin flame, and everything has felt like a fairy tale since. Our wedding is themed celestial-dreamy-magic, because that is genuinely how our love feels, like you're peacefully looking at the stars. Stars that are so beautiful, so bright, and so vast that your mind has trouble comprehending their existence. I have trouble comprehending ours all of the time. -Kristy
