Our very favorite thing to do on Nantucket! Below is a list of places we've spent way too much time (and money) at over the last 7 years together. Downtown bACKyard BBQ Bar Yoshi Breeze at The Nantucket Hotel Brotherhood of Thieves Charlie Noble Corner Table Lemon Press Lola 41 Misogi Noodle Bar O Bar Rose and Crown Town The Taproom Ventuno A Bit Farther (will need a car, Uber/Lyft, or Taxi!) Faregrounds Fusaro's Island Kitchen Millie's Mid-Island at The Rotary Pi Pizzeria Take Out The Boathouse The Hub Nantaco Roastd General Store Stubby's Surfside Taco Stand Walter's Deli
Want to drink like a local? Cisco is THE spot and probably the place we spend most of our time (and money) on-island. And between their beer, wine, and spirits made right on the island (plus live music and food trucks), it’s money well spent, in our opinion. It’s like an adult playground but with way more beer and less running around (unless you’re playing cornhole!).
Not just for bookworms! This charming library has been around since 1847, but it’s also home to art galleries, author talks, and a peaceful garden. So even if you’re not diving into the latest bestseller, it’s a cool spot to soak up some culture and maybe even read by the water in between wedding festivities.
Ever wondered what it would be like to survive a shipwreck? This museum is a deep dive into Nantucket’s seafaring history, and the exhibits are both fascinating and a little bit dramatic (kind of like Kendall). Perfect for history buffs or anyone who likes a good maritime tale.
Step into Nantucket’s past with a visit to the Whaling Museum. It’s packed with history about the island’s role in the whaling industry, with exhibits on everything from the mechanics of the trade to its cultural impact. Don’t miss the rooftop for an incredible view of the harbor, perfect for a quick breather after soaking in all that history!
Whether you're on Main Street, Straight Wharf, or Old South Wharf, stroll through charming cobblestone streets lined with unique boutiques, art galleries, and specialty shops. From nautical treasures to one-of-a-kind gifts, Downtown Nantucket offers something for everyone. Perfect for finding a special keepsake or indulging in a little retail therapy!
While on-island, tee off at Miacomet Golf Club, Nantucket’s only 18-hole public course (and one of the oldest in the country!). Don't forget to enjoy a post-round drink at the clubhouse!
Embark on a lighthouse adventure and see all three iconic Nantucket beacons! Start with Brant Point, the charming harbor entrance, then head to Sankaty for breathtaking cliffside views. You can catch a glimpse of Great Point from the ferry on your way in (or out) on the northeast tip of the island. A perfect way to soak in Nantucket's coastal charm!
