This is an annual hot air balloon festival and is happening the same weekend! Prosser is an easy 30 minute drive from Richland. If you are coming from Seattle, go through Yakima on your way in and you will pass Prosser.
Palouse Falls State Park
Iconic waterfall in Eastern WA. Approximately 1.5 hours from Richland.
Badger Mountain Trailhead
Moderate hike in Richland with panoramic views of the region. Well maintained trail and highly traveled but rattlesnake sightings are common - use caution!
