Can children attend the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We kindly ask that there are no children attending the ceremony and reception. Our niece and nephew will be accompanying us as family.

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes, if absolutely needed. Onsite parking is available. However, we would much prefer you get a ride or carpool with a designated driver for maximum safety. Uber and Lyft are available.

What should I expect weather wise?

Answer

The region is hot and arid. If you are not used to this heat, you may be affected by it. Please stay hydrated and in the shade during the day. The evening should be warm and pleasant to dance the night away.

Do I need to pay for booze?

Answer

We will be providing drinks but do ask that you please tip the bartender on your own. Cash preferred but we will work on having a Venmo/Paypal option as well.

What shoes are appropriate?

Answer

The venue is grass with areas of rock, gravel, and dirt. Please wear shoes that are comfortable and will not ruin the lawn of the venue.

I'm going to be there early/extend my stay! Can I stay with you/hang with you/will you be my tour guide?

Answer

As much as we love you and want to spend maximum time with you please know that this will be a busy time for us, especially with family. We ask that you please make your own accommodations for overnight stay and there is plenty to do here with or without us. Please attend our Welcome Party if you can and check out our Things To Do page. We appreciate your understanding. We will do our best to see you as much as we can while you're here!

I don't want to rent an Airbnb/hotel just for one or two people, what can I do?

Answer

If you use Facebook please use our Party page as a forum to reach out to others about going in on sharing a house/hotel/etc. Most people like to pay less so the more people that join forces, the cheaper for all! If you do not use Facebook, feel free to reach out to me and I can try and connect you with others.

What is the venue like?

Answer

The venue is a private property with lush greenery. The venue is also an active farm with animals of all sorts. Please be respectful of the farm animals and private residence.

What's the dress code?

Answer

We at the Maurer/Hickey household like to get fancy but dress in what makes you feel awesome! We are going for a semi-formal vibe.

Will there be food to accommodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will be having a build-your-own style meal with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. You get to decide what suits your tastes.
