YES! Please let us know your travel plans, including the date and location of your arrival and departure. If you are flying into Vienna, this is the only way for us to coordinate with the venue and have you picked up. If you are flying into Prague or Bratislava, we can help you painlessly train or bus to Brno and have you picked up from there. Without this, you will be on your own getting to the venue! If you have specific locations in mind that you want to travel too and would be interested in ideas and suggestions, we would love to provide detailed itineraries of our favorite spots!
At this time, Australian and USA citizens do not need a visa to travel to countries within the European Union. However, beginning at the end of 2026, citizens of these countries will need to apply for an ETIAS. While it does not look like it will impact travel for our wedding, please be cognizant that changes can happen at any time. The link below contains more information on this. https://travel-europe.europa.eu/en/etias/about-etias/who-should-apply
The currency in the Czech Republic is Koruna. Please note that while Czech is apart of the European Union, the Euro is not accepted. The currency rate for the Koruna can be found below. If you plan to travel elsewhere, please be aware of the currency in your country of destination and be prepared. https://www.google.com/finance/beta/quote/USD-CZK?sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiKqJbm_buRAxXkGlkFHRZFOSkQmY0JegQIDRAo If you plan on bringing a credit card, please note that Visa and Mastercard are the two predominately accepted carriers. American Express and Discover are less common in big cities and may not be accepted at all in smaller towns. On this, many markets and stores in smaller towns may not accept credit card at all and having cash can help to preempt this.
For trips less than three - four hours (such as Vienna or Budapest), we suggest taking the train. Europe has a strong, interconnected train system that is easy to navigate and plan. For longer trips, we suggest flying. In particular we recommend flying Ryanair due to extremely cheap flights. Please be aware of the stringent carry on rules associated with Ryanair, as well as the location of the airport you are arriving in. Many times, they fly into smaller airports around big cities, which can be up to an hour away.
We recommend staying in Airbnb’s, rather than hotels. In our experience, it will tremendously cut down your cost of your trip. We can refer anyone to AirBnb's in Icschgl, Dublin, Dubrovník, London, Paris, Edinburgh and Prague for up to 10% the listed pricing. Please reach out with any questions if your are interested!
Invitations are extended only to those named on the envelope. We’re keeping things intimate, so plus-ones are only included if specifically mentioned.
