Wissahickon Valley Park
Hiking on the trails of the Wissahickon Valley Park is how we found our venue! We’ve spent plenty of time there with our dog Nova. Our venue sits on an easily accessible gravel walking trail known as “Forbidden Drive,” and there are several hiking trailheads nearby. Let us know if you need any trail recommendations!
Wissahickon Brewing Company
Our favorite local spot, Wissahickon Brewing Company, is a short walk from our apartment and a short drive from our venue. (We like it so much, we once walked there in a snowstorm!) You can’t go wrong with any beer selection and they keep a rotating cast of food trucks that often include vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options.
Vault + Vine
If you’re exploring the area and have a few extra minutes to kill, we love this combination plant shop/café in view of our apartment (if you happen to stop by, we live in the renovated church just up the block!). Much of the locally-made art hanging in our apartment was purchased here, and we’re huge fans of the oat milk lattes!
Chestnut Hill Brewing Company
Just a few steps from our accommodations at Chestnut Hill Hotel, this brewing company is a good spot for some pizza & a beer. They also have a great outdoor space!
Market at the Fareway
Market at the Fareway is a modern indoor farmer’s market that has a little bit of everything! It is located right next to our accommodations at Chestnut Hill Hotel & the Chestnut Hill Brewing Company.
Philadelphia Museum of Art
If you are in town for a bit longer of a stay, the Philadelphia Museum of Art is a close drive away and worth a visit!
