Our venue is Valley Green Inn, a historic inn located in Philadelphia's Wissahickon Valley Park. We spend plenty of time hiking on the adjacent hiking trails with our dog Nova, so it seemed like a perfect place to celebrate our marriage. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held at the Inn!
Our ceremony will be held in the same location as our reception- on the grounds of the Valley Green Inn! No additional travel needed.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors alongside the Wissahickon Creek at Valley Green Inn. The cocktail hour & reception will be held on the Inn’s covered patios!
We request all guests arrive no later than 5pm in order to have time to find your seats in our ceremony space. Our venue coordinator will not allow any late entry to the ceremony space, so please leave yourself a few extra minutes for travel, parking, and finding your seat!
Luckily, the corner of Philadelphia that our venue (& our home) is located in functions much more like a suburb than a city. While there won’t be much city driving involved, we recommend adding in a few minutes of time to commute to the ceremony to account for traffic & location of the venue.
Yes! Our venue, Valley Green Inn, has its own parking lot that will be gated & reserved for our guests’ use. Cars are able to remain in this lot overnight if needed. However, there won’t be space for ALL guests to drive, so Lyft/Uber will also be a viable option. If you are staying at the Chestnut Hill Hotel, there will be a shuttle provided to and from the venue. There are also additional lots on Valley Green Road used for the Wissahickon Valley Park that are an approximate 5 minute walk from our venue.
Please let us know when you RSVP about any allergies or dietary restrictions so that we can collaborate with our venue on your meal! :)
We have asked a few children to be part of our ceremony and several teenaged close family members to attend our reception. While we would love to celebrate with them, we ask that younger friends and family stay at home unless we noted them on your invitation. If you are unsure, please reach out to Casey or James!
While we both believe “the more, the merrier,” our venue does have limited space to celebrate. We have done our best to include as many friends and loved ones as possible while keeping in mind the limitations of our venue. We will include on your invitations whether dates/significant others are invited- if you aren’t sure or have any questions, feel free to reach out to Casey or James!
