Question

Will there be any COVID precautions?

Answer

We are requiring that our guests be fully vaccinated (honor code style; boosters encouraged!). If you cannot be vaccinated for health reasons, please reach out to Carlee and James and let’s see what we can do. For the safety of all our friends and family, regardless of your vaccination status, we ask that you keep tabs on how you’re feeling and with whom you’ve been in contact in the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding, especially in the 3-7 days just before. If you’ve been in contact with someone who tests positive within 7-10 days of our wedding, we will miss you tons but we ask that you choose to stay home. Please check back here for updates.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

April 1, 2022 - please RSVP via the “RSVP” tab on the website. You may edit your RSVP responses at any time prior to April 1. Remember to submit a song suggestion!

If I’m flying, what airport should I fly into?

Answer

We suggest flying into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Without traffic, Newark is about a 30 minute drive to the suggested hotels.

If I'm taking the train, what stop should I get off at?

Answer

Newark Penn Station (not to be confused with Newark Liberty Airport (EWR) or New York Penn Station). Let us know if you have specific questions about taking the train, but we love it!

What should I wear?

Answer

“Formal” attire - we’re going for fancier than cocktail attire but not over the top. We ask that our guests stick to longer dresses/gowns and suit & tie. No khakis or tuxes and no summer dresses please. If you have further questions on attire, let us know!

Will transportation to and from the venue be provided?

Answer

Yes! There will be shuttles to take guests from the Doubletree Hotel to the Art Factory and then back to the Doubletree. The ride is about 10-15 minutes. Free parking is also available at the Art Factory should you choose to drive. The parking lot is a short walk away, but there are also super cool, old-fashioned trolleys to take you from the lot to the front door! *Whether you choose to take the shuttle, drive, or grab an Uber/Lyft, we ask that our guests make smart, safe choices throughout the weekend.*

What time should I arrive at the Art Factory on Saturday?

Answer

If you are driving yourself, please plan to arrive no later than 5pm so we can make sure all guests are seated and we can get the party started as scheduled. There is another wedding at the Art Factory at the same time as ours so we're asking guests to plan accordingly and arrive with plenty of time to spare. Please see “Schedule” tab for more info on the timeline of the evening.

Is parking available?

Answer

See above for info about parking at the Art Factory. There is also free parking at the Doubletree Hotel.

Is the venue outside?

Answer

Nope - the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be held inside at the Art Factory. HOWEVER, the Art Factory is a really unique venue so plan to arrive plenty early if you'd like to snap a few pictures before heading to the ceremony. #CarleeAndTheJETS

Where should I go when I arrive at the Art Factory?

There may be another wedding (or two) at the Art Factory on April 30th, so please be sure to walk through the main door and ask for assistance if you do not see signage. The Art Factory professionals and our wedding coordinator team will be there to help guide you!

Will food and drinks be served?

Answer

Of course! Many, many, MANY hors d’oeuvres will be passed throughout the evening, starting during the cocktail hour, so come hungry! We will also have a full bar offered during the cocktail hour and reception. If you have a dietary restriction or allergy, we ask that you contact Carlee, James or our parents ahead of time so that we can try to accommodate.
