Please RSVP by February 16th to give us time to inform our vendors of a final headcount.
Cocktail attire is suggested to complement our moody romantic theme. Some simple examples would be an upscale cocktail dress with a heavier fabric like velvet, satin or thick silk; or, a classic blazer with dress slacks. As for colors, think rich, deep colors like burgundy, deep blue, charcoal or even black; or neutral tones like grey, beige or brown that match the atmosphere of the forest setting. Our wedding colors are black, white, and emerald; while other shades of green are welcome, we ask that you refrain from a deep emerald green as this is what our bridesmaids will be wearing. When planning what to wear please keep in mind that this is a forest setting with towering trees, moss, ferns and wet, uneven terrain. We recommend practical shoes that can handle uneven, damp terrain; block heels, stylish flats, boots or even rainboots will still fit the vibe – avoid stilettos or anything that could sink into the ground or cause discomfort. Temperatures are also likely to be chilly, so a shawl, faux fur stole, or a stylish jacket in a matching color would complement the theme and the environment. Waterproof fabrics or treated materials might even be a good idea in case of rain. Your attire should be both beautiful and functional, allowing you to enjoy the magical surroundings of our wedding venue while staying comfortable and stylish! Your comfort is important to us!
Whether you decide to park directly at the venue or park at the Mount Walker Inn nearby for shuttling, we ask that all guests aim for 3pm. Prior to the ceremony, champagne and sparking cider will be served as guests arrive and settle in. We also ask that all guest are seated for the ceremony by 4pm.
We recommend that you park at the Mount Walker Inn and carpool with family and friends to the event at Cedar and Fern Campground (this is a 5 minute drive). We will even have a few helpers shuttling guests to the venue as needed. There will be gravel parking for up to 40 vehicles at the Mount Walker Inn, while the venue itself will have limited parking in a grassy field. If you suspect you may need to leave early we do recommend that you park at the Cedar and Fern Campground.
All family and friends are welcome - this includes the little ones. You know your kiddos best, so to minimize any disruptions during the ceremony, parents are encouraged to step away to tend to their child's needs if something comes up.
This will be a completely outdoor Western Washington wedding. In April there is a relatively high chance of rain for this area, and as the evening progresses it will likely get a bit chilly as well. We ask that you plan your attire accordingly. We will have heaters and canopies to stay warm and dry. Umbrellas are welcome.
