Amanda and JP met when Amanda was in her senior year of high school at a friends party. When she first saw JP she knew she wanted to get to know him more but was too afraid to go up to him and talk. After being at the party for some time JP decided to come talk to Amanda and get to know her more. They exchanged phone numbers and decided to go on a few dates but neither of them at the time were ready for anything more serious and so they just remained friends until years to come. 10 years down the road JP decided to contact Amanda and see how she was doing and the rest was history from there. Both of them laugh at how much they liked each other in the past but were too afraid to admit it at the time. Looking back they’re both happy they were able to mature and grow into adults so they could truly know what they wanted in life and who they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with. Both agree that their love and relationship developed over time like a fine wine!
JP and Amanda had talked some about marriage but Amanda never thought a proposal was coming her way. At a Cinco De Mayo party JP had asked Amanda’s dad Glenn if he could propose during the party because a large amount of her friends and family would be there. JP knows how important family and friends are to Amanda and so he knew this would be the perfect time to ask for her hand in marriage. JP had their favorite song playing (hint** it will be playing for our first dance as a married couple) and asked for Amanda’s hand to dance with him to their song in the living room. What Amanda didn’t know is that this would be the moment she had been waiting for and with just the perfect atmosphere. Friends and family were gathered around with their phones out videoing them “dancing” Amanda was a bit taken a back and embarrassed JP wanted to dance in front of everyone but when she turned around and saw JP on one knee she knew this was their moment. So caught up in emotions Amanda missed hearing JP ask her “Will you marry me?” So she asked him “Well are you going to ask me?!”. With tears of joy and laughter Amanda said YES!
