Maid of Honor
From big sister, to supporter, to confidant, Jordan has been there for me through it all. Our bond has endured a number of trials but at the end of the day, she is someone I admire dearly. She is a fearless leader for those around her, & the kindest friend to those she covets. Luckily, she's had no choice but to let me tag along in all her grandest (& even not so grand) adventures; protesting only partly. I have no doubt how stressful it must have been to have me running behind her, attempting to be a fraction of the person she is; & handling me with nothing but patience & grace. She has been there to cheer me on in every struggle & accomplishment. I couldn't be happier that she is going to stand beside me as Chris and I embark on the adventure of a lifetime. There is no better friend.
Best Man
Interests: Putting a good dip in, Coors Light, Grass, Denver Broncos Our Love Story: Derick is one of the most passionate people I have ever met, but only about a few things. The Denver Broncos (he’s a lucky underwear type of guy), his dog Miles, and well-maintained grass. Seriously, I’ve never seen him more excited than when he saw the Mar a Lago golf course for the first time. But if there’s one thing Derick cares about more than proper seeding and mowing, it’s his friends and family. He has always been the friend that I can talk to about anything and will give me the feedback I need to hear. I go to this guy for everything and he has helped me through some of the most difficult decisions and times in my life. Derick will always be my brother and I am lucky to call him a friend.
Bridesmaid
I met Shelby about six years ago during our freshman year of college in Levelland, TX. I remember admiring her quirky southern personality & immediately realizing that she was one of the funniest people I'd ever met. Shelby is a once in a lifetime friend that entered my life right when I needed her most, & we've stuck together ever since. She accepts me as I am, no matter where I'm at in life and loves me all the more for it. Over a year ago we were sitting in a drive-through & I was telling her about this guy that I could not get off my mind; & even though I never said those exact words she read my mind. I cannot thank her enough for calling me out & making me wake up to the fact that the man of my dreams was standing right in front of me (and encouraging me to go after him!).
Groomsman
Interests: Ripping and tearing, Yee Yee, McDonald’s rooftops, Romantic paramotor dates Our Love Story: One word always comes to mind when I think of Gup and that is driven. This guy doesn’t know what it means to go half way or give it a try, it’s all or nothing. In this aspect, he was always a mentor to me and someone that I respect and look up to. Several times, his drive led to some interesting outcomes (near death via pretzel salt), but it’s always seemed to work out. Nathan is someone that I always want to have in my corner because I know that at the end of the day, he’ll have my back so long as I don’t get too rough playing frisbee.
Bridesmaid
Each friend I've made is completely coincidental & life-altering; none is more true than the day I met Molly on the first day of nursing school. Nursing helped us grow up & find ourselves, & we were lucky enough to start our nursing careers on the same hospital floor. I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to talk to someone who aspires to accomplish so much in their career & inspires that same fire in you; this is the epitome of mine & Molly's friendship. Molly is a rock star in so many ways, & she is one of the most committed friends I've ever had. Time & again I run to her & tell her my struggles/happiness/thoughts/concerns & she welcomes me with open arms & says "What can I do to help? What can I do to make things better?", & I adore her for that pure & unselfish love she shares.
Groomsman
Interests: No Shave Fridays, Cutting Edge Exercises, Craft beers, LARPing Our Love Story: Rob (Bobert, Bobby, Robby, etc.) is the parent of the story. Hold on Rob, I mean that in the most endearing way. He is a great friend that taught me how to be more of an adult, which yes, I’m still working on. He always made sure to keep me somewhat in line and put me on the right path. Rob is someone I can always count on for guidance and to tell me the right answer even if he follows it up with encouraging me to do the wrong thing (not shaving on Fridays). Rob is one of my favorite people to just sit and talk to, whether it’s the merits of one of his extremely odd new work outs, personal life or the daily news. Rob has got his stuff together, and he’s someone I hope to be more like someday.
