Question

Detailed Schedule of Events

Answer

Thursday Beach Day: Join us for an informal relaxed day at Praia do Guincho (Estrada do Guincho, 2750-642 Cascais) around 12/1pm! We’ll have a reserved area with lounge chairs, and there is a beach bar and restaurant on-site for food and drinks. If you’re nearby, please feel free to stop by and hang out with us before the festivities begin. Thursday Evening: We’ll officially kick off the weekend with Welcome Drinks in Cascais at Arriba by the Sea from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Half of this event is indoors, and we will move fully inside once the sun sets. Friday: There are no planned activities. Please see the “Things to do” section for suggestions of what to see in the Lisbon and Cascais areas! Saturday Wedding: The ceremony and reception will be held at Quinta do Gaio de Cima in Cartaxo from 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM. The venue is a beautiful estate located about 50 minutes from both Cascais and Lisbon.

Question

Welcome Party Attire

Answer

Dress Code is Summer Cocktail. Ladies: Summer vibes encouraged. Prints and lighter colors are welcome, and dresses of any length (mini, midi, or maxi) all work well. Skirts and elevated pants are also great options. Men: Summer cocktail attire, have fun with it. No shorts, jeans, or sneakers please. The party will take place on a large oceanside balcony. Sunset is around 9:00 pm, and temperatures may drop slightly with the ocean breeze. As the evening continues, the celebration will move indoors. The days will be sunny and beautiful, but Cascais is famous for its "Atlantic Breeze" which makes the evenings feel much cooler (high 78°F / low 67°F). We definitely recommend bringing a light jacket, blazer, or shawl for later in the evening!

Question

Wedding Attire

Answer

Dress code is Formal. The ceremony and reception will be fully outdoors, with breezy yet comfortable summer evening temperatures. We’d love for everyone to wear lighter colors as much as possible for this summer setting. Think garden-formal vibes. Our goal is for everyone to feel confident and comfortable. Ladies: Formal looks in lighter tones are encouraged. Breathable fabrics are ideal for the outdoor setting. Dresses, long skirts, and tailored pants all great options. Throughout the night, we’ll be moving across gravel, grass, and cobblestone, so block heels or wedges are recommended. Men: Suits with ties required, with color encouraged. Feel free to get creative through bolo ties, ascots, or other elevated options. No sneakers please. The wedding is all outdoors. While the daytime will be warm (high of 80), it will cool down significantly once the sun sets (low of 66). We definitely recommend bringing a light jacket, blazer, or shawl for later in the evening!
