What day is the wedding?

The wedding is Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Where is the wedding?

Answer

We are having the wedding at the Riu Ocho Rios resort.

Question

Is the Riu Ocho Rios resort all inclusive?

Answer

Yes, the Riu is an all inclusive resort. Everything is included in the cost to stay at the hotel. From the minibar in your room, to the multitude of dining options the resort has to offer, you do not have to pay for anything. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the weekend.

Do I have to stay at the Riu Ocho Rios resort to attend the wedding?

Answer

The Riu requires 80% of our wedding attendees to stay at the resort. Only 20% are allowed to stay at another location. The Riu charges a $75.00 (USD) fee for all non-guests who plan to attend the wedding and reception. We may not be able to accommodate you if you are unable to stay at the Riu resort.

Are we allowed to bring our children?

Answer

Due to hotel and COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 18 years. Our wedding is adults only. We thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at the wedding!

Why did you change the date of the wedding?

Answer

The coronavirus pandemic has been challenging for us all. We have had to remain resilient during this time. In the interest of the health and safety of our most vulnerable family members, we have decided to change the date of our wedding to this fall

I booked the hotel before the date change. May I change or cancel my booking?

Answer

The Riu is offering free changes and cancellations for those who may have booked the hotel prior to the wedding date change. You may change your booking through the Riu website or through a third party site (e.g., Expedia.com). Please check with the Riu to determine the latest date you can cancel or change your booking.

Question

I already purchased flight tickets for the April date. What should I do?

Answer

Your airline may offer a refund (depending on the class of ticket purchased) or a travel voucher for the purchase price of your ticket. You may need to cancel your flight and use a travel voucher to book a new flight for the October date. Check with your airline to determine if you can receive a refund or travel voucher. We appreciate your love and support during this time.
