Maid of Honor
Danielle and Lexi met while studying graphic design at Coastal. They took a few classes together, and Danielle invited Lexi to join the co-ed fraternity, Alpha Psi Lambda. Once Lexi became a member, their friendship grew like sisters. Lexi even became Danielle's maid of honor, and in return, Danielle holds the same role at Lexi's wedding. Before Lexi and Jamal started dating, Danielle was already familiar with both of them and greatly admired their friendship. Although Danielle cherishes both relationships, she often playfully teases Jamal and openly expresses her stronger bond with Lexi. At the wedding, striking up a conversation with Danielle could revolve around shared experiences like going clubbing on Broadway, pulling all-nighters for design projects, enjoying different types of anime, or singing along to Disney songs.
Best Man
The big brother that Jamal always dreamt of being, a major role model to many from hundreds of miles away, and a poet at heart, Tyler House is only a month older than Jamal but a week younger than Lexi. Jamal and House grew up on two separate ends of the country. Jamal grew up on the west coast in Los Angeles, and House grew up on the east coast in Baltimore, Maryland. They visited each other every so often during holidays and birthdays. However, when you get them in the same room, the whole place lights up just a bit more brightly with the two of them together. After high school, House and Jamal got an apartment together during college. They lived with each other for about two years, learning many lessons and sharing life experiences that they will both cherish forever. The best way to start a conversation with House is to not be afraid to approach him. He is big, but he gives out teddy bear hugs for free. Anime is always a favorite topic, as well as anything Baltimore-related and any other miscellaneous thoughts that come up after saying hello.

Walle and Lexi happen to be second cousins on Lexi's dad's side. They're separated by a three-year age difference but basically grew up like siblings. When they were kids, Lexi took on the role of the older cousin/sister and they did everything together. Both families were busy with restaurants, so the two of them often played with the other kids. Just like sisters, they always had each other's back no matter what. When you see both Lexi and Walle together, you will see them dancing and singing to Trey Songz song or just talking about the next food joint to eat in Atlanta or South Carolina. If you run into Walle at the wedding, you could chat about singing old R&B tunes, setting up birthday decorations, enjoying time with her daughter Aileena, or taking those family trips like Disney World or Carowinds.

Lloyd is the oldest brother in the Smith family. As he has 2 younger siblings and has 5 nieces and nephews. He is one of the oldest 1st cousins Jamal has known ever since he was a baby, he has babysat Jamal a bunch of times and has tons of stories to share as well. Jamal has always looked up to Lloyd growing up. From introducing him to gaming to hip-hop, and understanding his intuition and connection with the world around him. Lloyd has always been there for Jamal throughout all the good and the bad times. Not to say anyone else in the party has not. But Lloyd has seen Jamal grow and mature into the Man you all know and love today. Which shows how many secrets, stories, nicknames, and laughter they both share throughout the years. The best ways to start a conversation with Lloyd, the Raiders, the Dodgers, and the Lakers. His love for music is the reason why Jamal's taste is all over the place. But Lloyds is a little more structured than his. Ask about any baby or child story about Jamal to get anyone laughing. Health and fitness and of course just saying hi as he is just as much of a teddy bear as House is. Ultimately, you will find a new favorite person to talk to and be around by the end of the night. So he may try to sneak away from time to time and that is a fun "game" to mess around with him for a bit.

During their first year at Coastal, Taylor and Lexi met. They both moved there in Spring 2012. They got to know each other through a Facebook group for transfer students that semester. Once Lexi hung out with Taylor in the dorms, their freshman year became a lot of fun. They did everything together, like having lunch at Hick's Dining Hall for Fried Chicken Fridays or going clubbing at Might as Well. If you come across Taylor at the wedding, you could talk about watching Bad Girls Club, driving from Conway to Columbia for concerts, taking spontaneous trips to Myrtle Beach, shopping with her daughter Ryan, and coaching basketball with her son Jeremiah.
Groomsman
Justin is three years younger than Jamal, yet people constantly mistake them for being twins whenever they are together. Justin has built himself up to not take anything away from anyone. He is independent, loyal, and a straight-up diva when provoked. The whole family already knows he will rule the world one day if he has not already. The world just needs to catch up to this man's genius level and then everything will make itself right immediately after. There are a few ways to get on Justin's good side. One of the ways is to strike up a conversation about anime, K-pop, or himself. But be careful because you better know what you are talking about. Noobs are not welcome in those conversations. The best way, however, is to wait for him to notice you first. And if you pass whatever test he has for you, then you're in his vortex for life. Justin is on his way to explore the life he wants to build for himself. He loves to travel and experience new places with the people he loves.

Mariah and Lexi, who are part of the co-ed fraternity Alpha Psi Lambda, had individual experiences that brought them closer together. Lexi served as chapter director for her chapter at Coastal and warmly welcomed the new Epsilon line, which included Mariah, Greg, and other members, into La Familia. They cultivated a strong bond, seeking the noblest qualities and becoming like sisters. During Mariah's time as the recruitment chair, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Costa Rica and unexpectedly met Jamal. Their Maymester together made Mariah realize that Jamal would be a great addition to the fraternity. Interestingly, if it wasn't for Mariah, Lexi and Jamal may have never crossed paths. Mariah played a significant role in facilitating interactions between Lexi and Jamal, spending time with both of them before they became a couple and so she witnessed their friendship bloom into something more. Best ways to start a conversation is talking about her traveling experience all around the world including Vietnam or Santa Marta, roller skating like Usher, or taking Muay Thai Boxing classes.
Groomsman
Greg was Jamal's best friend in college. He is someone who you can call the batmobile, and he'd be riding shotgun. He is loyal, he is a companion, and he is an honorable friend. He knew Lexi before Jamal did and if it was not for Greg, Lexi and Jamal would have never met. Greg is now Married, to a wonderful Queen who he worships day in and day out. He is a gamer and should be in the E-Olympics if they have one. Best way to get on Greg's good side, anime, Mario, video games, and nature hikes.

Lawren and Lexi also crossed paths in Alpha Psi Lambda fraternity. During the fall of 2016, Lexi served as the chapter director and was also involved in the recruitment of a new chapter at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. After a semester, Lawren joined the welcoming community at UNCW and became a part of Lexi's family line. In the fraternity, Lawren is considered a Gkid, while Lexi holds the position of GMA, which is similar to the concept of Bigs and Littles in sororities. Over the years, they made sure to stay connected until both found themselves living in Georgia during the pandemic. Once they discovered this, they often made plans to attend concerts together like Bad Bunny and Demi Lovato. If you run into Lawren at the wedding, make sure to talk about her new fiancé Marco, the best Cuban meal, and knowing multiple languages.
Groomsman
Drake appeared on the scene a little later than everyone else in 2019. By then, Jamal had already completed his first year cruising. They met on their way to a ship boarding in Spain. Jamal introduced himself while they were on the bus heading to the ship and they have been best buds ever since. During that same contract together in the Mediterranean, Jamal worked over 90 hours a month, while Drake only worked for 5 hours in a month. Unlike Jamal entertaining the kids on the cruise. Drake is a private chef and he gets to drink with the parents and other guests on the cruise. Drake and Jamal visited around 25 different countries while working on the cruise ship together. Best way to start a conversation with Drake is to bring up music, food & wine, or you can always find him on the dance floor with a drink in his hand and telling jokes to Oprah.

Lexi and My were colleagues at New American Funding. Whenever My had an opportunity, they would brainstorm lunch options together, often choosing places like Chop or indulging in Bubble Tea from Tiger Sugar. If you're seeking recommendations for Asian restaurants in Atlanta, My is the person to ask. On occasions when they celebrated birthdays, My was the one who knew exactly what cake to order – either a mochi donut or the lightest, fluffiest cake imaginable. If you get a chance to converse with My, topics could revolve around savoring the finest cuisine in Duluth, recounting trips to California for Vietnamese dishes, sipping Boba Tea at Sweet Spot, or sharing thoughts on KPop music.
