Question

How do I get to Jamaica?

Answer

Please visit the Travel Page of our site for reservation details before scrolling further within this section.

Question

Do I need a passport to go to Jamaica?

Answer

Yes. You can apply for a U.S. Passport at the link below; travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports.html Our recommendation would be to get the process started before 2018 arrives.

Question

What does my travel package include?

Answer

Flight, transportation, hotel + all the food & room service & buffets & 5-course restaurants & (adult) beverages you can stomach.

Question

Does that mean the resort where you're getting married is an "all-inclusive"?

Answer

YES! Additionally, it's a no-tip resort, and they truly mean that. "We want to award our staff members equally, including both those who are guest facing and others who may work behind the scenes."

Question

How long is the flight to Jamaica?

Answer

It depends on the flight arrangements, but on average a flight from Louisville to Jamaica takes around 4 hours of air-time. If flying out of Louisville, you will have a connecting flight before landing in Montego Bay.

Question

What happens once I arrive in Jamaica?

Answer

Magic!! You're escorted from your flight within the airport to the resort check-in, where you will be greeted and given details on your shuttle to the resort. While waiting, you will have immediate access to unlimited Red Stripe, because... Jamaica. Once the luggage and shuttles are arranged (give or take 30 minutes) and you've become refreshed, the shuttle will take you on a scenic ride around the island to get to Towel Isle. The full commute takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Trust us when we say, it's entertaining. Pro tip: For those who get car sick, take something to prevent illness for this ride. Jamaican driving laws and roads are not for the faint of stomach. Fast, windy, and filled with horn honking.

Question

What day should I arrive in Jamaica?

Answer

The wedding is Wednesday, April 4th, (because that's the anniversary of our engagement, and everyday is a weekend in Jamaica), so we recommend making arrangements to arrive the 2nd or 3rd of April, in case any flights are cancelled.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The resort is adult-only, 21+. WE get to be kids in Jamaica. (You're welcome.)

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Our wedding planning with the resort will be determined once our number of guests is confirmed, so we ask that everyone RSVP's by December 18th, so we can continue planning with you in mind. That will give us a few months to plan our shindig from afar.

Question

Will there be scheduled events for guests?

Answer

Yes and no. We will plan some gatherings leading up to the wedding, but it's totally up to you how you want to spend your time. It's your vacation too! There is lots to adventure and explore around the resort and island OR various placed to relax beach-side with drink in hand. An itinerary of guest-gatherings will be available upon arrival to Tower Isle.

Question

Where are you registered for gifts and such?

Answer

We do not have a registry. We hope our gifts will be Jamaican memories created with our closest friends and family. YOU are our gift.

Question

If I can't make it to Jamaica, will you be super bummed?

Answer

Not at all! We understand that this Jamaican extravaganza takes financial planning and family scheduling. We love you and know you'll be there in spirit. We just ask that no matter where you are come April 4th, that you partake in a rum-based-adult-beverage of your choosing with us in mind. Cheers to life and love and friendship!
