We are monitoring the virus and are keeping in mind everyone's health and safety. At this time, we are still moving forward with the wedding as planned. We will continue to keep track of the situation and will let everyone know if anything changes. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding throughout this process. We assure you that we are planning a wedding that will abide by all the required and recommended social guidelines regarding the virus. For those traveling from out of state, we recommend booking accommodations and flights that can be rescheduled or refunded as the limitations and social guidelines are constantly changing and we cannot guarantee things will not be postponed or changed last minute.
We will of course miss you, but we completely understand that traveling to Philly might just not be in the cards for some people right now and we will look forward to when we can celebrate with you in person. If you are unable to attend, Old St Joseph’s will be livestreaming our wedding ceremony, which you can view in real time at vimeo.com/osjphl.
If you are flying in, we recommend Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). This is about 30 minutes away from Philadelphia's Old City Neighborhood, where our venues and festivities are located. Ubers/Lyfts can be booked through the applicable app and there are also cab stands available at the airport that you should take using the $28.50 flat rate ($1 for each additional person). If you are riding the train in, Amtrak offers regular service into Philadelphia's 30th Street Station (also PHL). This is a 10 to 15 minute Uber/Lyft/cab ride to Old City. They should take you down Broad St (great view of City Hall coming this way) or I-676.
Old St. Joseph’s does not have a parish parking lot. If you are driving in for the ceremony, we are working with the Down Town Club to arrange for you to be able to valet park your vehicle there in advance of the ceremony. Please note that parking in Willings Alley or in the privately owned spaces across from the Old St. Joseph’s courtyard entrance is NOT permitted at any time. The owners of the neighboring property strictly enforce this and will likely have your vehicle towed.
Yes! We’ve secured a block of rooms at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia right around the corner from both the church and reception venue. Details can be found on the Travel tab. To take advantage of the group discount you must book your room(s) before April 27, 2021.
There is a gated entrance on Willings Alley, a tiny side street between Locust and Walnut streets. The church is between 3rd and 4th streets.
You'll be able to select your entree at the reception, and the venue will be able to accommodate dietary restrictions on the spot.
Yes! We'll be able to accommodate any dietary restrictions at the reception. But, please feel free to reach out to us in advance with a heads up.
Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only (21+) affair.
Philadelphia is full of hotels to choose from! If you are not interested in staying in the room block we recommend finding an alternative hotel in Old City where the majority of events will take place. There are also a number of Airbnb options as well.
Cocktail attire is suggested.
Invites specify invitees as we are keeping the guest list limited due to COVID occupancy restrictions at the church and the reception venue.
GREECE!
