Our favorite Tex-Mex spot with great food and margaritas. It was voted the best Tex-Mex restaurant as well as best Margaritas, Fajitas, Guacamole, Salsa, and Queso in Houston by locals in 2025.
Tony's Mexican Restaurant
Another great local Tex-Mex option. They have expansive menu with a lot of great options for different classic Tex-Mex dishes.
Coltivare
Cozy spot for Pizza and Italian Dinner in the White Oak Neighborhood. They have a wonderful collection of cocktails and wine in a great environment. Reservations required.
Truth BBQ
A true Texas BBQ joint known for cooking their meat up to 18 hours. Voted best BBQ restaurant in Houston by locals in 2025. The meat and sides plates can't be beat.
The Rustic
Brunch Recommendation! Their set menu is served family style with a variety of classic brunch options to make everyone happy. We go here with family frequently and always have a great time.
Kolache Shoppe - Heights
Grab and go kolaches - a Texas breakfast staple! We most frequently order the sausage, egg, and cheese kolache but also enjoy their sweet kolaches and cinnamon rolls.
Karbach Brewing Co.
Local Houston Brewery with an indoor restaurant and large outdoor biergarten. We like to go here to grab drinks and bar food. The biergarten even has an indoor pizza shop at the back.
White Oak Neighborhood
Walkable from the Courtyard Marriott hotel - Great area with multiple restaurants and bars. Some of the favorites include Coltivare (Italian), Mutiny in the Heights (Wine Bar), and Onion Creek (Casual Brunch).
