Tiffany’s Version: I was in 7th grade when Jake walked past my desk to sharpen his pencil. I whispered to my friend that I thought he was cute… unfortunately loud enough for him to hear. Jake’s Version: Best pencil sharpening trip of my life. Tiffany’s Version: We dated in middle school (which mostly meant holding hands in the hallway and rides from our parents). Jake’s Version: A very serious relationship. Both: Like many middle school couples, we eventually went our separate ways. Years later in 2019, Jake reached out and invited Tiffany to a drive-in movie. One date turned into five years of adventures — from college weekends to moving to Washington, DC, exploring new places together, and adopting our cat Boo (who quickly became the real boss of the household). In August 2025, Jake proposed on a family trip to Ireland, and Tiffany happily said yes. Turns out the middle school crush was the one all along!
