Update as of August 23rd, the City of Chicago now has an indoor mask mandate. Masks are required when not eating or drinking. We haven't heard from River Roast yet about what this means for our wedding.
Yes, we have reserved rooms at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel and Courtyard Marriott Downtown/River North. Both are less than a 5 minute walk from the wedding venue. Check out the Travel section for more information. Jake & Michelle will be staying at the Renaissance.
Both airports (O’Hare & Midway) offer easy public transportation to the downtown area for ~$5 by purchasing a ticket on the CTA (it's the Chicago version of the MTA if you're from NY). If you prefer, you can take a 30-40 minute Uber/Lyft/Taxi for ~$35. We highly recommend public transportation/Uber over renting a car. If you choose to drive, we suggest using the App SpotHero to help minimize costs for parking around the city.
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. We can't wait to see you in your suits and ties or sport coats, cocktail dresses, and fancy jumpsuits! No jeans, please.
The hotels we reserved blocks at are within a 5 minute walk to River Roast, so no need to worry about finding parking or a designated driver.
