FAQs

The Wedding Website of Dani Shorkey and Jake Wladysiak
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal/Cocktail Attire, some examples pictured above. In addition, we would love for everyone to wear colorful attire like those pictured above for the Spring season, while avoiding lighter colors like white, ivory and champagne. We do encourage wearing your best pair of boots if you have some! Our ceremony is a full Catholic Mass so we ask guests to keep that in mind and dress modestly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, we do ask that you take advantage of a night away from the kids to have a date night with friends and a guaranteed good time! The exception to this is our flower girl and ring bearer as they will be in attendance for the entirety of the day.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have invited all guests by name on invitations and can only accommodate those listed, we appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are so glad that you are excited about capturing our big day, however, we have hired a photographer to get all the big moments! We will have a moment or two during the ceremony for guest pictures and ask that you wait for those before pulling out your phone. Additionally, take as many photos you would like during our reception while being mindful of our wonderful photographer.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes before the ceremony start time so you can find the best seat and avoid any potential interruption, showing up early is never discouraged!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are already in the process of working with our caterer for requests on meatless and gluten free entrees, if you have an additional accommodations needed please let us know! We want you to end the night without needing a McDonalds run.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 1, 2027 as we do have to give a final headcount to our vendors. If you need to make a change to your RSVP response after the deadline has passed, please reach out to us directly so we can do our best to make any changes, we can’t guarantee we can accommodate changes.

Question

Is there transportation to/from the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We do not have provided transportation between venues, however, there is ample parking available at both the ceremony and reception locations.
