Imagine this: it's your first week of sixth-grade and your friend is telling you about her new crush. "He's just so cute!" Her face lights up as a boy, with one arm reaching up to the tuba on his head, walks by your lunch table. You look at him as she dreamily says, "that's the one." You reply, "eww; you like him?" Now imagine this: you're in your seventh-grade homeroom and your classmate tomahawks a pencil, with great precision, at his best friend's face. Alas, a "brace-faced girl" sits up, at just the wrong time, and intercepts the tomahawked pencil with the top of her head. Classmates rush over to her aid as you laugh at her misfortune from afar. It didn't take long for that weird tuba boy and the braced-faced girl to get past those first impressions. They stuck by each other's side through awkward school dances, halftime performances, across country trips, college move ins, and, heck, even puberty. Which is why for the next part of this story, you will not need your imagination, because you will be joining these two for the start of their lives together. Our parents said that the key to a happy marriage is to always make each other laugh, but we already have that covered. We are so excited for you to join us for a night filled with love, joy, and laughter.
