The couple's story officially began on December 23rd, 2019. Jake was determined to impress on the first date and persevered until Remy agreed to meet him at the top of the Shard for a cocktail. Sparks were instant. Jake thought the view in front of him was more breathtaking than the London skyline, while Remy was captivated by his almond eyes. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and it quickly became clear that neither of them wanted the date to end. To keep the night flowing, Jake spontaneously suggested to stretch the evening by taking Remy to the Ned. They bonded over their shared love of Gin & Tonics, as Remy introduced him to her favourite: Pink Pepper Gin. They shared their hopes and dreams as well as a sinfully rich flourless chocolate cake. After 6 hours of chatter, laughter and connection they had to say goodbye... although within a couple of days Jake had already secured date number two at Winter Wonderland.

The date is November 23rd, 2024. The city is New York. As the ring finally arrived from London with just a few days to spare, Jake set his plan in motion. He schemed to have Remy ride podium at SoulCycle first thing in the morning - her favourite way to kick off a weekend. After class she was whisked into a cab with timed envelopes tossed in as the doors shut behind her. Remy opened each card at the designated time as she was shuttled around between beauty and pampering activities. Remy was sent to brunch where her friends surprised her at Dante in the West Village. Remy is affectionately known as the Mayor of Dante so needless to say the martinis were flowing. Their trusted friends were on hand to bring Remy home, tasked with helping her pick an outfit, make her favourite G&T, and ensure she arrived at a surprise location in Soho on time. Meanwhile, Jake was waiting on a private rooftop, ring in hand, as roses and candles were being laid and his curated playlist was playing. Remy arrived, walking out to see the sun setting over their iconic New York neighborhood skyline as Jake got down on one knee and asked Remy to marry him. She said YES!
