Please RSVP by 8/1/2026.
So many reasons… but in short, we really just wanted to create an entire wedding weekend full of memories with all of our favorite people at a 200-acre lakeside retreat complete with fun activities, amazing food, and carefree party vibes.
The actual ceremony and reception is Saturday September 12th at 4PM, but we've booked the venue for the whole weekend (Friday-Sunday night)! Guests are welcome after 1pm on Friday and until 6PM on Sunday. Or, guests can come just for the day, if preferred. During the day Saturday and Sunday, you have full run of the camp. This means hiking, swimming, boating, crafts, etc.
You will reserve a bed while filling out the "Camp McGriff Lodging Form" under "Booking Your Cabin". Reserving and staying onsite will include food and activities for the whole weekend.
We have a variety of options for staying at camp, which are listed in the "Camp McGriff Lodging Form" under "Booking Your Cabin". Once you fill out this form, please venmo @mickaylaroyer your payment. Without payment, guests will not be in the final headcount and will not be able to stay on camp.
While no one is required to stay at camp, we absolutely encourage everyone to so that you'll get the most out of the weekend! This will be a sort of "all inclusive" experience, no need to leave camp for the weekend. There is ample accommodation on site with a variety of cabin/bunk houses, cottages, and dorms. Manitou requires that all accommodations are to be handled by the bride & groom, so please do not reach out to the camp. All accommodations include bedding/linens, electricity, hot water, and full indoor bathrooms. We will be assigning cabins carefully & thoughtfully. There are hundreds of sleeping arrangements, so no one will be sleeping on a top bunk with 20 other people in the room 😊. If you have any questions, please let the bride & groom know. We will be reaching out to all guests to confirm accommodation assignments.
You are welcome to arrive anytime on Saturday if you’d like to enjoy the camp activities. The wedding ceremony will begin at 4:00 so please make sure you arrive by 3:30. Parking is available on site.
We will provide a linen package for all guests. It will include a pillow and case, sheets, light blanket, and bathing towel. Extra blankets are available but feel free to bring your own as it can get cooler during the nights.
If you are staying the weekend with us, all meals will be provided! You are welcome to pack snacks or specific food if you would like, although not all cabins have kitchens/refrigerators.
Yes, Camp Manitou is a BYOB facility. We will supply alcohol for the reception (and for a couple of other events such as the welcome dinner and brunch) but if you have anything special you want to add to the beer canoe or for your own stash, please bring this. Don't forget to tip the bartenders! Note: Not all cabins have fridges so bring a cooler if you want to keep things cool.
Only if your invite has their name or says "and Guest".
**Although we are all hanging out at camp all weekend, we kindly ask all guests to dress up in cocktail formal attire for the ceremony/reception** Clothing: -Wedding - Formal Cocktail attire for Saturday. Our theme is "Retro Whimsical" so think fun, bright formal attire. -Athleisure clothes, sneakers, bathing suits, casual summer clothes for day time, -Sweatshirt and layers (it will get chilly at night), sweatpants, pajamas, rain boots/jacket Other: -Blow dryer/straightener/curler, toiletry essentials (toothbrush/toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, moisturizer), camp chair (optional for fire), cash (to tip your lovely bartenders), sunscreen/bugspray, additional pillow/blanket (camp will have a simple set so this is only if desired). -We are a music loving family and there will be lots of opportunities to jam together (some scheduled, some casual improv). Please bring your favorite instrument if you'd like to join in!
Yes, plenty of both!
Of course, text Mickayla and Jake.
Don't worry, we will have coffee flowing the entire weekend.
We love your little ones! However, unless your children are listed on your invitation and when you RSVP, this is an adult-only event. We encourage you to use this weekend as a mini-vacation!
In lieu of wedding gifts and a wedding shower, we are asking for cash gifts to put towards our honeymoon. You can find this under the "Registry" tab.
