Maid of Honor
Julia and I met in our formative University years, as sorority sisters. What I didn't know then was that she would become my soul sister and remain my cherished companion through every important phase of my life during our 15+ years of friendship. One that I hold dear knowing it's been able to withstand the dreaded increases in distance from first moving to separate towns, then countries, and ultimately, provinces. She has truly been here with me from the very beginning of my relationship with Jake, as she was the person I trusted to go with me to meet that stranger at that winery that wasn't open yet, and give me her honest opinion on if I was crazy for following that gut feeling. Since then, I've had the honour of standing with her on her wedding as her Maid of Honour, and I am thrilled to have her as mine.
Best Man
Matt and I first met as college roommates, where we bonded over our shared love for camping/hiking, cars, fermentation, and the hope of living in the mountains of BC one day. From hiking through the Okanagan to camping trips across Ontario, we’ve covered a lot of ground, both literally and figuratively. I was honored to have been his best man and I am ecstatic to have him stand with me. Whether we’re talking sourdough, farm equipment, preserves, and gardening (as one does in their 20/30s), he has always been a loyal friend, a constant presence, a great listener and someone who knows exactly when to hand you a beer.
'Bro'desmaid
Brayden may be my younger brother, but he is also the only person in my life who I trusted was on my team since the beginning. Nothing cements your bond quite like buying a house together, surviving a renovation, and having the emotional maturity to admit, we will never do that again 😂 Now we get to cheer each other on from afar, or in my case, right up front while I marry the only man I've ever trusted more.
Father of the Groom
My dad has has always stood by my side for all of my life's biggest moments, achievements and challenges. Showing me what it means to be a good partner, good friend and a good man, he's been there through it all. I’m proud to be his son, and even prouder to have him by my side on this day.
