Bodas (weddings) in Spain are considered one of the most important reasons to celebrate in life, which is why they are celebrated all-out in an over-the-top way, and why they tend to end very, very late -I hope you’re ready to party with us late into the night (or early in the day, depending on how you look at it!). First up on our day is the ceremony where Jake and I will say “I do!” Another fun and traditional ritual is the tossing of rice, small flowers, or confetti as the newlyweds leave the site of the ceremony, so keep an eye out! We are so looking forward to having you join us in this shower of celebrations. An important note- Spaniards are quick to get into party mode right after the ceremony! At the conclusion of the ceremony, we will provide buses to the Masia, where we will move on to a yummy cocktail hour and we will be able to join you in sharing pinchos, tapas, and a good time! Following cocktails we will move along to the reception. Now comes the time to relax and enjoy a great sample of the best gastronomy that Valencia has to offer! In the US it’s very common to make speeches, however, in Spain, you’ll hear “viva los novios!” being yelled out in celebration instead! Yes, we are a very emotional and fiery people, but in the absolute best way. I leave you a quick link so you can enjoy and see what it’s about! www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkXZcTP5T1Q The rest of the information we’ll be keeping a secret, as we’re hoping to surprise you and leave you with some beautiful memories as a small token of all that you’re doing to accompany us on our day. One thing we can promise is you’ll never forget the night in Spain where you danced until the sun rose!
