Jacob and Olivia’s story is an unexpected one. They grew up in the same small town in Michigan, and although their parents were friends, they barely knew each other. Throughout grade school and high school they ran in different circles and rarely crossed paths. After graduating in 2017, their lives went in completely different directions. In July 2022, they reconnected on the Fourth of July at the lake they both grew up on, and shortly after matched on Tinder. With an upcoming move and no expectations, they nearly canceled their first date, thinking it would simply be a chance to catch up after years apart. Instead, they quickly realized they wanted to keep seeing each other, and spent the following weeks together before beginning a long-distance relationship. Long distance strengthened their connection as they talked every day and made regular road trips to see each other while building their lives in the West. Salt Lake City eventually became the place where their relationship grew deeper and where they began building a shared future. In November 2023, they moved in together after many conversations about marriage and life side by side. In September 2025, Jacob proposed on the Timpanogos Cave hike, a moment they will never forget. Utah has become home and the place where their love grew most deeply, which is why they chose to get married here before beginning their next chapter together as a married couple.
