Matron of Honor
Cousin of the bride, but more like a sister. As if I didn't already feel honored enough to have her as my Matron Of Honor, she is leaving her 3 kids and husband home in Japan and flying back just for my wedding. Now, I am truly honored.
Best Man
Jake met Joe in grad school at Ball State. They quickly became friends due to their passion in technology and similar personality types. Since graduation, they have both lived in various areas of the country but made it a point to stay close and keep in contact.
Bridesmaid
This is my sister! So, because of that biological dooming, she is stuck with me. Forced to tolerate me, an annoying younger sister, and love me her whole life until she finally decided it would be best to just befriend me. After that, we have been friends ever since. I win! :)
Groomsman
Sheldon Maxwell Goodson, cousin to the groom, is a close friend. He lives in Texas but Jake and Max stay close by messaging frequently, mostly through shared memes, and promises to see each other whenever one travels to the others' home state. Jake and Max lost out on growing up as close family members, they're making up for it in their adult lives.
Bridesmaid
I met Amanda when I worked at the vet clinic. She has a kind heart, mouth of a sailor and can almost beat me in sarcasm. We have talked each other through a lot of ups and downs. She has a heart of gold. If anyone matches my soul on a deep, unspoken level, it's this gal.
Groomsman
Kody is Jake's oldest friend. Meeting in middle school in Pendleton, Kody and Jake have managed to keep their friendship alive for nearly 2 decades. Both men are family focused in adulthood, so visitations are far and few between, but they easily reconnect as if they're still in high school when they're together. Kody's friendship has seen Jake go through nearly every stage in life. It's only fitting that he stands next to Jake on the biggest day of his life.
Bridesmaid
I also met Angie at the vets office. She is a vat of knowledge and calm. We bonded over horses, duh. It takes a crazy horse persons to understand a crazy horse person. And I was crazy enough to rider her young horse for her. She has such a kind soul and is a selfless person. One day I aspire to have her wisdom.
Groomsman
Bryce and Jake met in Lapel Indiana through several mutual friends. Over the past decade, their friendship has grown to be something that Jake cherishes. Several times the two would meet just to talk about life, and the future, and issues they were both experiencing. Bryce has become a powerful support system and someone who's opinions matter deeply to Jake.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and I met when she was a young gun fresh out of vet school and came to work at the clinic I was working at. Little did we know, we basically grew up right next to each other. She is the kindest person I know. She can wear a smile through any situation and has a contagious laugh.
Groomsman
Joe Reilly and Jake met in Virginia. The two connected while playing video games through a friend of a friend. In Virginia, Joe was the first friend Jake made. They would meet at their favorite spot, Buffalo Wild Wings, to discuss life and family. They would occasionally play golf (terribly) together, then rush home to play games. The video games continue on, but they haven't met at a BW3s in some time.
