FAQs

Question

When should I fly in/arrive?

Answer

We encourage you to fly in on Friday. Flight plans can be complicated and then there is a 45-minute drive from the airport. There will also be a casual get-together on Friday with family that are in town. Details TBD.

Question

When should I leave/fly out?

Answer

There are no events planned for Sunday. Make plans that work for you!

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

You should wear whatever you feel comfortable in - anything from jeans to slacks to sundresses would fit right in. We will be outside on grass, gravel, and concrete, and some of the ground is pretty uneven, so plan accordingly.

Question

What's the bar situation?

Answer

There is no hard alcohol allowed at the camp. We will have two kegs - one a big hazy IPA from Fort George in Astoria, OR, and the other a fine American blue-ribbon-winning lager originally brewed in Milwaukee, WI. We will also have some wine and seltzers as well as water and some sodas. If you are particular about what you drink, feel free to bring your own; however, it will need to be kept with the bartender if it has alcohol. All beer and wine need to stay within 100 feet of where it is being served.

Question

What's the weather going to be like?

Answer

It has been a hot and dry summer so far, with only a few days below 90 degrees and several days well over 100 degrees. You should expect sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid 90s during the ceremony, cooling off to the mid 70s by the time the music stops. There is shade available but you might want to bring sunscreen. There is a very good chance that there will be substantial wildfire smoke and compromised air quality.
