What started out as a typical football Sunday, turned into a long loving relationship between Jake and Emily. They met their Senior year at Chico State through their mutual friends Ryan and Kaylee. After the groom was relentlessly bullied by the bride on several occasions, they ultimately started to grow closer and eventually fell in love. It only took a matter of weeks before they realized they found the one they were meant to be with. Whether it was nights filled with wine and watching the Jersey Shore or exploring swimming holes in Chico each moment was filled with laughter and love. Flash forward two years later when they moved in together in their tiny 500 square foot rental from Grandma Lucido. Through all the plumbing and electricity issues, they always took a step back and laughed because they knew this was only one step in their journey. They have now spent the past 6 years together, which has felt like a total of 6 seconds. The couple recently moved to Sacramento California, which has grown to feel like home to them. Their 500 square foot apartment has more than doubled, but that doesn't mean they aren't experiencing ups and downs. Whether they are making complaints about the loud neighbors next door or their 3-year-old daughter Poppy the cat is clawing at the walls...the list goes on. There is no challenge the two of them can't tackle with laughter and love along the way. This is just a very small description of the story of Jake and Emily, which.....has only just started. We would like to formally invite our friends and family that have loved and supported us on this journey so far. We couldn't have got here on our own and are looking forward to celebrating with the people we care about most. Mark your calendars for 6/6/2026 because this rodeo has just begun.
