Hey, I’m Matthew, Jake’s younger/older brother (depending on who’s telling the story) and his long-time travel wingman. I’m a commercial solicitor and lover of Man United (which is painful right now). I love to travel and eat good food! Jake and I didn’t grow up together but we have made up for it with plenty of travelling together, from partying back home in Ghana to pretending we were locals in Athens, scooting around in Copenhagen, downing shots in Lisbon, cruising down the California coast, and somehow making it out of Vegas in one piece, we’ve racked up some serious miles together. Jake’s the guy who can spot a plane model from a mile away, talk watches, Man United & cars and still beat me to the bluetooth on a road trip. I’ve seen him grow into someone driven, loyal and only slightly less hilarious than me. I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate him and Danayi on their epic new journey. See you on the dance floor!

Hi, I’m Sarah-Anastasia - Maid of Honour and Danayi’s longest friend. Danayi and I met back in 2007 when she joined my primary school — the second Black girl after me, and I remember feeling excited to see someone who looked like me. She naturally joined my friend group and we clicked instantly. Over the years, even through different schools and life paths, we always found our way back to each other. Our bond has only grown stronger — from childhood to adulthood, we’ve shared every milestone and supported each other through everything. Being her Maid of Honour is such a blessing. Our friendship is truly one of God’s gifts. When I’m not working in tech/cybersecurity, I’m at church, in the gym, cooking, travelling, or hosting a good old shindig!

Hi, I’m Ropa! I’ve known Danayi since 2008. That’s 17 years of sisterhood and countless inside jokes. We met in church and from that moment on, we’ve been cousins 👭🏾🩷 Having walked with Danayi through sleepovers, family trips, glow-ups, and everything in between, it’s been nothing short of an honour to do life with her and now, it’s an even greater honour to stand by her side as she steps into this beautiful new chapter as a wife! When I’m not busy trying to find people their dream homes as a realtor 🏡, you’ll usually find me deep in a TikTok scroll 🤭, spending quiet time with God 🙏🏽, or at the gym 🏋🏽♀️

Over the years, our bond has only grown stronger, even as life took us down different paths. I pursued a demanding career as an oral hygienist, where every day brings new challenges and high-pressure situations. Despite the intensity of my profession, Jake has always been a constant source of support and loyalty—someone who understands where I come from and what drives me. Truly excited for him!

Hey, I’m Jason! I’ve been good friends with Jake since our first year at university—though don’t ask me exactly how we met. I think it was at an ACS event or just at a mutual friend’s place because there was probably free food involved 😂. I work in cybersecurity, and when I’m not behind a desk, you’ll find me at the athletics track, usually jumping into sandpits.

Hi, I’m Amanda! Danayi and I have been friends for a few years now, though honestly, I can’t quite remember exactly how we met! We’ve known of each other since we were young, but our friendship really grew through our mutual friend, Shammah. From there, it was only natural that we developed a bond of our own. By day I’m a children’s social worker, Outside of work, I love traveling the world and discovering new restaurants!

Hey my name is Tatiana but you can call me Tats! My first interaction with Danayi is a funny one loool. She begged to get on the same bus as me just so we could be friends, she will lie and say it was the other way round but take no notice of her. Throughout my years of friendship with Danayi I have created many funny memories but most of all unforgettable memories that I will cherish forever. A sisterhood has been created and it’s one I will be forever grateful for. When I’m not busy saving lives as a scientist, you will find me sleeping majority of the time, being a big foodie or gyming!

I’ve just graduated from university but aside from university I’m really into hair and makeup.
