O'Hare (ORD)

O'Hare is one of the largest and busiest airports in the world, with direct flights from just about anywhere on any airline. It's about 18 miles and 30-60 minutes by car (depending on traffic and time of day) from downtown and is connected directly to the highway and CTA Blue Line. Taxi rides from ORD to downtown are $55+. Do not recommend! Uber and Lyft: Pickup is at TERMINAL 2 DEPARTURES LEVEL (upper level), NOT at the lower level arrivals where baggage claim and ground transportation is.

Flight

Midway (MDW)

Midway is smaller and less crowded, but it's located in the middle of the city and not as easy to get to and from. It’s about 12.5 miles from downtown, approximately 25-50 minutes by car (depending on traffic and time of day), and is served by the CTA Orange Line. That said, unless you’re really into adventure (and potential delays), we don’t exactly recommend it for your trip. Taxi rides from MDW to downtown are $35+. Do not recommend! Uber and Lyft: Pickup is on the Arrivals level. Exit baggage claim and follow the signs for Ground Transportation. Go to Door #4 and cross the street to the center lane to meet your driver.
