Jake and Alison met over the dating app OKCupid, both during major life transitions. Their first date lasted hours and hours and beyond that, as they say, the rest is history. Fast-forward six months; Jake quickly became a pillar of support during Alison's time away in Ontario at veterinary school. They built their life together in the Boston area, withstanding the perils of long-distance relationships and it became clear they were in it for the long haul. On a trip to Nantucket after Alison's third year in veterinary school, Jake made it official and popped the question. While our original wedding date was in October 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Alison's internship year, we have decided to postpone it to October 2021.
