Songe and Alanna met at The Dane County Sheriff's Office in 2015. They became work besties and grew their friendship outside of the slam. Their adventures together consist of going camping, pontoon trips, game nights and trips to the dog park. Songe asked Alanna to be a bridesmaid in her wedding in 2018. Thanks to Songe and her husband, Alanna and Jake met at their wedding reception. Songe and DJ have been a staple in Alanna and Jake's relationship and had a front row seat to watch things progress. Songe and DJ have a little boy, Jace, who is a happy little chunk and likes to come along for the ride. Jace has two fur siblings, Lucy (dog) & Shady (cat).
Melissa Besoiu

Melissa and Alanna met at LaTan at UW-Whitewtaer. Alanna was Melissa's manager at the salon but more importantly they became best friends. They advanced their relationship senior year of college and became roommates. Senior year was a wild ride, so many stories and inside jokes. When Melissa graduated college she moved to Chicago but they still found time to visit each other. Melissa met her husband, Phillip, and they made their big move to New York. Alanna was Melissa's Maid of Honor and got to watch Melissa marry her best friend despite covid changing many plans. Despite distance, they've celebrated many life milestones with each other and are tackling another! Melissa and Phill are expecting a baby girl at the end of July. Baby girl has two fur siblings awaiting her arrival, Elsa (cat) & Nala (cat). Alanna's favorite pets at the Besoiu household are the chickens.
Kelsey Kruger

Kelsey and Alanna met in 2013 at LaTan. Alanna was the District Manager and Kelsey was the Manager of the Sun Prairie location. Their work relationship spilled over into the Downtown Madison night life. They conquered LaTan together and ended up being roommates in Madison. Two years of living together didn't come without its challenges but ultimately made their friendship unbreakable. Kelsey met her now husband, Brano, while her and Alanna lived together. Alanna was a bridesmaid in Kelsey and Brano's wedding. Kelsey and Brano welcomed a wiggly baby girl, Elodie, in Oct of 2021. Although life gets busy, time is always made to catch up with visits and dinner dates.
DJ Leaser
Groomsman
DJ and Jake first met as Marines in 2015. Since then DJ has been there for Jake through his years of transitioning from Active Duty to the Reserves lifestyle. In 2018 DJ is the reason that Alanna and Jake met as well as a Hurricane named Florence. Jake was able to make it to Songe and DJ’s Wedding Reception, and the rest is history.
Dillon Egan

Dillon has been there for Jake since the very beginning. Dillon and Jake first met in 1995 as Pre-School kids and grew up as childhood friends through Middle School. Dillon’s Dad, Mark Egan, offered Jake a job to work on the Egan Dairy Farm in New London for a few summers, learning the ins and outs of hard working farm labor. After High School graduation Dillon and Jake went their separate ways. Dillon went to UW-Stout and Jake joined the Marine Corps. 5 years later both Dillon and Jake were Marines at the same Reserve Unit in Green Bay. Dillon has always been there for Jake.
Lucas Burton
Groomsman
Lucas and Jake first became friends while attending school together at New London Middle School. Lucas and Jake both played Basketball, Baseball, Football, Paintball, and Darts. Once Jake left for Marine Corps Bootcamp after High School Graduation Lucas and his family supported Jake throughout the years in between 3 Deployments. Lucas has helped Jake with his transition from Active Duty back to civilian life back in Wisconsin with years of personal support in every aspect. This long lasting friendship has proven to show that distance and time cannot break a strong friendship in any situation.
