FAQs

Question

When are the bride and groom traveling?

Answer

We are booked to fly out on Wed 1/18/23 and return home on Wed 1/25/23.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

To travel to Mexico a passport is required. If you currently have a passport, make sure it doesn’t expire 6 months after your departure from Mexico. If it will expire, make sure you start the renewal process as soon as you’re able. If you need to apply, do so at least 4-6 months prior to travel. Visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html/ for additional passport information.

Question

What is included in the final price?

Answer

Your flight and all inclusive resort are covered in this price. The all inclusive package includes all meals, drinks, room service and tips. You will have access to an international buffet, specialty restaurants for dinner and bars with a large variety of choices.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

Sunscreen, swimsuit, insulated cup with a straw, casual beach attire, dress code appropriate clothing for dining and tipping money if you choose. https://insearchofsarah.com/all-inclusive-vacation-packing-list/ This is a great list for first time travelers!

Question

What do I wear to the wedding?

Answer

It is going to be a casual wedding. For men, nice shorts or linen pants and a button down is appropriate. For women, a nice summer dress or sundress is perfect. Comfortable footwear, the ceremony will be on the terrace.

Question

Does the resort have a dress code?

Answer

Shirt and shoes or swimsuit cover up are required in dining areas. Dinner attire requires men to have sleeves. We suggest having a pair of pants and closed toe shoes just in case.

Question

Do I need to tip?

Answer

Your resort fee has built-in tips for the staff, so you are not obligated to tip the staff. However, we typically bring $100 per person for tips. We usually do $5-$10 for the drivers (to/from the resort/airport) and $1-$5 for bartenders/wait staff. If you plan to do any additional excursions or massages, plan $5-$10 per person as well. Fun Fact: You can request $2 bills from your bank.

Question

Can I drink the water?

Answer

We recommend not to drink the tap/faucet water, the resort will provide filtered and bottled water all the time. Water and ice cubes served at all resort venues are always filtered and safe to drink.
