When we first started dating, one of our favorite places to go was Topgolf! This location is super close to the Alpharetta hotels.
We actually used to live across the street from here! Truly the best aquarium in the world! Totally worth the visit to this ATL staple.
One of the city's greatest spots is Ponce City Market. It was once the home of a Sears, Roebuck & Co. warehouse and retail store back in the 1920s. Now, it is a huge shopping center and food hall. It is also connected to the most popular part of the Beltline, which is a walking and biking trail surrounding Atlanta and connecting people to the best parks, restaurants, bars, and more! We live in one of the apartment complexes right across the street, so safe to say we are here often! Favorite food spots: - Bellina Alimentari (Italian) - Minero (Mexican) - Dancing Goats Coffee Bar (Coffee Shop) - Three Taverns (Brewery) - Saint Germain (French Bakery) Our top shops: - Citizen Supply - Anthropologie - Lululemon - Marine Layer - Reformation - Sugarboo & Co. - Pottery Barn - Williams Sonoma Be sure to check out The Roof at PCM! Skyline Park is a carnival-themed area with fun food drinks, and games (and even a ride & slide), and 9 Mile Station is a wonderful restaurant with amazing views!
For our brewery lovers - New Realm is right on the Beltline near Ponce City Market. Go up to the rooftop bar for incredible skyline views!
One of the best ice cream shops in ATL! There are a few other locations, but this one is right off the Eastside Beltline by our other recommendations. They serve scrumptious soft serve - try the Olive Oil flavor if they have it on rotation!
Another hot spot for food and entertainment! You can actually get here from Ponce City Market easily - just a 15-minute walk down the Beltline. Favorite food spots: - Barcelona Wine Bar (Tapas) - BeetleCat (Seafood) - Delbar (Middle Eastern) - Fritti (Pizza) - Pure Taqueria (Mexican) - Victory Sandwich Bar (Sandwiches) Grab a drink: - Painted Park - VinoTeca - Little Spirit - The Albert
Our favorite bar! Ladybird is a camp-themed bar on the Beltline with the best vibes, drinks, and food. Also be sure to check out their upstairs bar, Ranger Station - more of a bougie cabin vibe!
Just a tad further down the Beltline from Inman Park and Ladybird is Krog Street Market & District. The market itself is a delicious food hall, and there are other great restaurants and shops in the surrounding Krog Street District! Favorite food spots: - Fred's Meat & Bread (Hot Sandwiches - on the Michelin Guide!) - Superica (Tex-Mex) - Playa Bowls (Acai Bowls & Smoothies) - The Salty (Donut Shop) - Little Tart Bakeshop (Bakery) - Jeni's (Ice Cream) Grab a drink: - Pour Taproom - Lingering Shade Social Club - The James Room (it's a speakeasy!) Cute shops: - The Merchant - The Collective
A wonderful park to explore in the heart of Midtown Atlanta - take a stroll, or grab a Bird / Lime scooter or bike and have a ball! Also, if you pass a King of Pops cart, stop and grab a popsicle. They are an ATL must!
Adjacent to Piedmont Park, check out the Botanical Garden! It is so beautiful, and you'll be in town for the wedding in the spring - during the best blooms!
A moderate hike on the banks of the Chattahoochee River - and it's all located ITP (Inside the Perimeter, aka inside the I-285 loop). There's even a bamboo forest!
Another moderate hike, just a little further north of the wedding venue. The natural, granite indentations on the mountain top were believed to be used as lookouts by Native Americans. Such a nice sunrise or sunset hike!
If you want to check out the gorgeous Lake Lanier, this park is a great place to do it. The trail is about one-mile, surrounding the water and allowing access to multiple small beaches.
