We're getting married!

In June 2021, shortly after both of them graduated from the University of Georgia, Jake and Jessica met in Athens, Georgia, and their love story quickly began. Jake stole Jess’s heart with her favorite snickerdoodles from Insomnia Cookies where he had worked as a student — and the rest was history! Jake kept an apartment in Athens while he job-searched and Jess started working remotely full-time. After enjoying a fun Dawg football season, they moved to Atlanta together in March 2022. They would always say they are just two grown kids having sleepovers every night and learning how to be “real” adults together. Life was fun: they both ended up working in the broadcast television industry, they spent every weekend cheering on their favorite Georgia sports teams, and they explored their new city high and low. Years of ice cream dates, international trips, Atlanta Falcons losses, belly-aching laughter, and undeniable love turned into the start of forever on February 16th, 2026! Jake proposed to Jessica at the Sun Dial in Downtown ATL, overlooking the beautiful city where they put down so many roots. They are so excited to get married and celebrate with all of their loved ones!
