Jaimie and Tanveer first met on Hinge, where Jaimie’s profile mentioned her weakness was “Cactus happy hour.” Tanveer couldn’t resist replying, “Cactus happy hour with that smile, I’m in.” After two months of texting back and forth, they finally met in November 2021—not at Cactus, but at The Keg. By January 22, 2022, they officially became a couple. Just three months later, Tanveer made a bold move and invited Jaimie to join him and his friends on a trip to Cabo as her birthday gift. Even though it was early in their relationship, they embraced the adventure—and it turned out to be the best decision ever. On that trip, they truly fell in love and realized they were meant to be together. Cabo has been a special place in their story ever since, and now it will be where they begin their next chapter as husband and wife, surrounded by their loved ones. Soon after, Jaimie began leaving things at Tanveer’s Surrey apartment in between her busy work and school schedule. Tanveer was thrilled to have her around as much as possible, and before long, his place felt like their place. In May 2023, Tanveer sold his apartment, and together they bought their first home in Langley, where they now live happily. Since Cabo, Jaimie and Tanveer have traveled the world together—Italy, San Francisco, London, Paris—and their most memorable trip yet: Hawaii in 2024, where Tanveer proposed. Earlier that year, he had Jaimie convinced that a proposal wouldn’t be coming until 2025. He even took her ring shopping “just to get ideas,” while secretly planning the proposal in Hawaii with the help of Alannah and Kanver. On the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, Tanveer completely surprised Jaimie by getting down on one knee. They both instantly burst into happy tears and spent the rest of the trip celebrating their engagement in paradise. Now, Jaimie and Tanveer are beyond excited to return to Cabo, the place where they first fell in love, to say “I do” with their closest family and friends.
