How is COVID-19 affecting the wedding?

Answer

To answer that, honestly, it has changed many aspects of the wedding. Socially distancing/ staying six feet apart is a requirement by the Governor and CDC so we will be doing our best to do so and when not able to, masks will be required.

What are you doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 during this gathering?

Answer

We will be providing masks if needed and making sure all tables are six feet apart based on families/ households. Also hand sanitizer and hand washing stations will be readily available.

What do I do if I feel uncomfortable with any aspect of the wedding due to COVID-19?

Answer

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Answer

Normally we would say the more the merrier but because of the strict guidelines of gathering sizes due to COVID-19 we cannot have more than what we have personally invited. Thank you for your understanding.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Semi- formal or dressy casual!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

In Cascade Locks, the weather in August is usually in the mid 80s with some wind, dress accordingly.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are in the same location. Cascade Locks Marine Park. The ceremony is on Thunder Island and the reception is about a block away in a pavilion in the same park.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is outside on the island, and the reception is indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party and immediate family will be taking pictures nearby for around half an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception pavilion where we will be serving drinks and playing lawn games.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The venue’s address is 355 Wa Na Pa St, Cascade Locks, OR 97014. I will include a map of where to park and where to go under the “Photos” category so people have a clearer idea.

Where can I park? Is parking free?

Answer

I put together a map of where you can park under the “Photos” page. If you are able to park closer to the pavilion and are okay with walking please do so the older guests can get front row parking. And yes parking is free!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Our RSVP deadline is July 29th please! That way we can plan accordingly how much to prep for! Thank you! And also no need to mail it back, all our RSVPs are online, on this website!

Where are you registered?

Answer

We know it's not traditional, It's not the way it's done, Instead of a wedding list, We'd like a bit of sun. We've lived together quite a while, And all the bills are paid. We've got our plates, our pots and pans, Our plans have all been made. So if you'd like to give a gift To help us celebrate Something towards our "honeymoon” We would appreciate! Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social medias! Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #ShannonShenanigans so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
