Jaimie and Nick’s story started off back in 2005. They were both attending Menlo Park Elementary where they would be in the same classes for fourth and fifth grade. Little did they know where their story was headed. They attended school together but as Nick would say, he had a crush on Jaimie but Jaimie wanted nothing to do with him. Jaimie and Nick never had the same crowd of friends but would cross paths throughout elementary and into middle school. Throughout all this time Jaimie knew Nick had a crush on her but didnt seem to be interested in that way. As eighth grade year was coming to an end and rumors were swirling that Jaimie wouldnt be going to the high school that everyone else would be attending. She would in fact be going to a private high school. Jaimie knew this would change a lot of things, including her relationships.
Throughout high school Jaimie would receive messages from Nick but never really put much effort in, knowing it would never really work being in different high schools. Finally after both Jaimie and Nick graduated, Jaimie decided to hang out with Nick (besides he was VERY persistent). The first time they see each other since middle school and they decide to go to a movie with a few friends. Jaimie goes to pick up Nick in her mom’s TINY Honda civic, and lets remember here, Nick is 6’6”. So the first meeting in such a long time and Nick is trying to cram himself into this little go kart basically. He moves the seat all the way back and his still cramped. He makes a joke about opening the sun roof so he can sit up straight and stick his head out of the roof. Months and months go by after this movie “date” and Jaimie and Nick are still hanging out everyday, talking everyday, really, truly being best friends. They did everything together. Nick expresses his feelings to Jaimie after a few months but Jaimie is hesitant because she doesn't want to lose her best friend if things don't work out. After about a year of being friends, Nick finally works up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend. Jaimie is beyond terrified but knows that she must take a chance because you never know just how absolutely perfect something could be. Fast forward to almost five years later and Jaimie and Nick are happily engaged, planning a wedding for August 29th 2020, living together in Oregon City with their cute little cats named Whiskey & Kahlúa. They don't live a perfect life but everyday they strive to become the best versions of themselves that they can be.
