Cocktail attire / dress to celebrate! Tip: opt for block heels or boots instead of stiletto heels, and remember it’s never a bad idea to pack a jacket.

Crested Butte has an average high temperature of 73° and average low temperature of 38° in August. A decently warm jacket is necessary after dark!

How do I prepare for the altitude?
Answer
ANSWER Crested Butte is at 8,900 feet! Drink LOTS of water and cut back on the alcohol if you notice headaches or dizziness. The mountains are unpredictable, so pack layers, a rain coat, umbrella, a swim suit, and plenty of sunscreen. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes!

Ubers and Lyfts are non-existed in Crested Butte, but luckily that is not an issue! Town is easily accessible by foot. We highly recommend townie bike rentals for cruising around town, or exploring the mountain bike trails. Please see the Things To Do page for additional information on bike rentals.
