FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jaimi Bergh and Michael McManus
Question

Will the ceremony be held at the same time as the reception?

Answer

No. The ceremony will be a very intimate event, with only immediate family. It'll be held in Joshua Tree at sunrise.

Question

What is the parking situation for the reception?

Answer

It appears that there is plenty of parking across the street from the art museum. We'll provide additional details closer to the event.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome at the reception. A couple of our optional events will be adults only (i.e. golf scramble).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please adhere to what is listed on the RSVP on the website. If the website is wrong or you do not have a date listed but would like to bring one, please reach out to the bride and groom to add your date to the guest list. This will allow the bride and groom to maintain an accurate number of guests for the food and bar services.

Question

What if my partner or kids will not be attending but are listed in the RSVP list?

Answer

Please inform the bride and groom that part of your party will not be attending. This will allow them to maintain an accurate guest list for the food and bar services, and may allow them to invite others to the wedding.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding reception?

Answer

Bold and colorful!!

Question

What will the weather be like in Palm Springs in October?

Answer

60s during the evening/morning, and 85-95 during the hottest part of the day. Dress lightly and bring a shawl or light jacket for the evening.

Question

Will meals be served at the wedding reception?

Answer

TBD. We're still working through options with the vendors.

Question

What if I have dietary needs- gluten free, vegan, etc.?

Answer

Please advise the bride and groom. We'll try to have options for everyone knowing that many we love, and want to join us on our special day, have special restrictions that we want to honor and respect.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, but please consider bringing a little bit of cash to tip the bartenders.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

Yes but we understand that people are spending a lot of money to come out to Palm Springs to be with us on our special day. Gifts are absolutely not required. If you'd like to do something in addition to coming out to Palm Springs, please consider donating to our home sauna fund! We've been dreaming of getting one for years!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you can after receiving your invite, especially if you know that one or more of the party will not be able to attend. Knowing that someone in your party may not be able to attend could allow us to invite additional people.

Question

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

Please arrive at 5pm or shortly after. We won't have a strict arrival time since we won't be hosting the ceremony at the same time as the reception, but we'd hate for you to miss out on any of the fun we have planned.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotel recommendations and any hotel blocks we have booked for guests will show on our website under Where to Stay. If nothing is showing yet, please check back regularly as we'll be adding more information as we get closer to sending invites.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the reception?

Answer

We're not currently planning transportation to/from the reception. The reception will be held at the Palm Springs Art Museum, which is centrally located in downtown Palm Springs. Please plan on taking an Uber or Lyft to/from the reception. We highly recommend having a designated driver or taking an Uber/Lyft from the reception back to your hotel to avoid drinking and driving.
