Rhys and Jaimee met while living in Seattle in 2021. Jaimee had just started a new travel nurse assignment during which Rhys had returned from his Officer Training School for the Air Force. While plans for their first date were to meet up for sushi, they ended up spending the entire day together conversing and enjoying each others' company. Over the next few months, they had the best time getting to know each other and trying new hobbies one another liked. This consisted of hiking, rock climbing, golfing, and watching each others' favorite Netflix series. Four months into dating, Rhys left for pilot training in Mississippi. After much contemplation, Jaimee decided to follow and took travel contracts throughout Alabama to stay nearby. For nearly one year, they spent weekends together having date nights. They spent time at the lake, discovered new restaurants and breweries, and experienced college football games. The year had its moments of stress and hardships with pilot school and work, but the two made it through and leaned on one another for support. June of 2023, Jaimee and Rhys went on a three week road trip through several National Parks. They started in California, made their way through Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, and Washington. At the end of their vacation, the two continued on to Jaimee's hometown of Redlands, California where Rhys ultimately proposed. Now here they are, counting down the days to have all of their friends and family celebrate their love with them!
