The couples' hashtag #HauckIMetMyOther is a reference to the hit series, "How I Met Your Mother," which ran on CBS from 2005-2014. The premise of the show is that in the year 2030, main character (Ted Mosby) is explaining to his kids the story of how he met their mother. He reminisces about the adventures he had with his 4 best friends in NYC, and how he ultimately came to find his true love; their mother.
The bride and groom began watching re-runs of this show together at an early time in their relationship, and at some point it ended up becoming "their show." In October of 2020, they got umbrella tattoos together. The umbrella was a running theme throughout HIMYM, a constant symbol that "the mother" was always so close, but it wasn't time for Ted to meet her yet.
Much like the couples' wedding, he had to wait for the Right Place, at the Right Time.
