We tried to be as in-depth as possible with our FAQs! If you haven't found your answer here, we have created a Google Form you can fill out with your questions and concerns. Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony is planned to start promptly at 4:30 in the afternoon. We invite you all to start arriving at 4 o'clock, giving you plenty of time to say your hellos and find your seats. Plan to be in your seats no later than 4:25. Please do not arrive earlier than 4 o'clock.

Will the events of the day take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outside in the lawn behind the Barn at Firefly Lane. Cocktail hour will be held outside under the barn's covered patio, followed by a reception inside the barn.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are requesting you all dress up with us in your best semi-formal, spring/garden-party attire! Men, we encourage you to wear light colored suits or slacks with blazers/sports coats, dress shirts, and ties. Ladies, bring out the cocktail dresses, skirts and blouses, or dressy separates; florals are encouraged, but all we ask is that you leave your white, champagne, and cream pieces in the closet out of respect for the bride. Also, your seats for the ceremony are on turf grass; a block heel or wedge sandal is recommended over stilettos.

What's the weather forecast for The Big Day?

Answer

While we're no meteorologists, we hope for sunny skies and mild weather! Typically, April is comfortable here; highs in the lower-mid 70ºs, and the low is usually around 50º. If you are sensitive to the cold, we recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl for the evening, just in case.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

On your GPS app of choice, make sure to type in "The Barn at Firefly Lane", and it should take you straight to us! At the turn into the barn's parking area, there will be a sign with our names on it, so you'll be sure you're at the right place.

What's the parking situation?

Answer

There's plenty of parking on site at our venue, just steps away from the reception barn and ceremony lawn! The entire venue is handicap friendly and requires zero long walks or stress about parking :)

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, due to limited space, we have chosen to only invite children under the age of 18 who are immediate family to the bride or groom (siblings, first cousins, nieces and nephews). If your children are invited, your invitation will be made out to "The {Your Last Name} Family". If your invitation reads "{Name #1} & {Name #2}", we kindly ask you respect our request to leave the children at home with a nanny or babysitter.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to limited space and a strict budget, we cannot accommodate any additional guests other than those named on the invitation. If you received a plus one, your invitation will read "{Your Name} & {Guest}".

I'm an out-of-towner. Got any lodging recommendations?

Answer

We do have some recommendations for you! You can find it all under the tab titled "Travel Info". :)

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We are planning to have an open bar, serving a selection of beers, wines, and two signature cocktails. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be provided. We encourage you to have a great time and celebrate with us, but we also want you to be safe getting back to your beds; we ask that you drink responsibly, and last call for drinks will be made 30 minutes before the end of the reception.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We love that you are excited for us and want to capture this moment in our lives! However, we ask that the entire ceremony (including the processional and recessional) be "unplugged", with cell phones and cameras put away. We have hired wonderful and talented photographers to capture every moment of our day, and we promise to share their pictures with you all after we receive them!

Answer

We are registered at Crate & Barrel and Target. Head to the "Registry" tab to find direct links to our registries!

Question

How do I R.S.V.P.?

Answer

When you receive your formal invitation, a QR code will be provided for you to scan, allowing you to R.S.V.P. on your cell phone. You can also come back to our website where you will see a new tab labelled "R.S.V.P. Here!" -- just hit that button and it will take you to the same spot the QR code does!

When is the R.S.V.P. deadline?

Answer

The R.S.V.P. deadline is Monday, March 25, 2024. If you do not R.S.V.P. by this date, you and your plus one (if applicable) will be marked as "Will Not Attend".
