We were introduced by Agustin's parents <3 Jaime taught yoga in Miami for about a year in 2013/14, and Agustin's parents regularly attended Jaime's classes. At the end of Jaime's tenure at the yoga studio, Agustin's parents invited him to Jaime's class and sent him into class alone without telling Jaime who he was! We started dating in July 2014 but Jaime moved to Gainesville shortly thereafter. We dated long distance for 5 years (!!) before reuniting in Miami in the summer of 2019.

Agustin was intent on finding the perfect moment to propose. That moment turned out to be at 3:30am on January 1, 2020 in the kitchen of our shared home in Miami. It was quiet, intimate, and perfect for us. We went to a yoga class later that day with Agustin's parents at the studio where we first met. We then spent the day at the beach and sharing the good news with all of our loved ones.
