Shadyside / Squirrel Hill Area
Shadyside and Squirrel Hill are nice, highly walkable East End Pittsburgh neighborhoods known for their safety, historic charm, and vibrant commercial districts. Shadyside offers upscale shopping, nightlife, and renovated Victorians, while Squirrel Hill provides a diverse, family-friendly urban-suburban mix with a strong community feel, excellent restaurants, and easy access to universities. Some fun facts - Squirrel Hill was Mr. Rogers neighborhood and it's one of Jaiden's favorite Pittsburgh neighborhoods! It's about 2 miles or around a 10 minute drive from the wedding venue.
The Strip District
The Strip District in Pittsburgh is a vibrant, historic market district renowned for its international grocers, bustling street vendors, and diverse eateries along Penn Avenue. It's about 3 miles or around a 15 minute drive from the wedding venue.
Lawrenceville
Lawrenceville is a trendy, historic neighborhood in Pittsburgh. Known as a premier "hip" destination, it has transitioned from an industrial hub to a bustling, walkable area packed with restaurants, boutiques, bars, and galleries concentrated along Butler Street. It's about 4-5 miles or around a 20 minute drive from the wedding venue.
Further Outside the City
If you're planning on renting a car or don't mind taking a ride share a little further out of the city we also recommend checking out the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, Duquesne Incline, or trying your hand at renting a kayak from a local company and enjoying the nice weather on the water!
