When should I RSVP by?

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Doors will open for guests at 5:00pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. This means that tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Information about plus-ones are included in each person's RSVP page.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate children of close family, who are named on the invitation. Thank you for your understanding.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are several hotels within walking distance or a short drive distance to the venue. Pittsburgh has a lot of great spots to stay that are a close drive to the venue.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know about any important food allergies when you RSVP. If you already RSVP'd and forgot to let us know about an allergy feel free to send us an email (butler.sellers.26@gmail.com) and we will be sure to let our caterer know.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Guests may use available public parking spaces in front of Phipps on Schenley Drive. Public parking may also be available in the center of Schenley Drive.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Pittsburgh has Uber / Lyft options available at all hours of the day!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Can I bring my own alcohol to the wedding?

Answer

Please DO NOT bring your own alcohol to the wedding. If any of our guests are found to have alcohol on them we could face a hefty fine from the venue. Don't worry though, we want our guests to have a great time and will be treating you to an open bar!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! You will have your pick of a selection of liquor, wine, and beer. We recommend treating yourself to one of our 3 signature cocktails named after each of our fur-babies Lola, Mad Max, and Furiosa.

Can I pick flowers or plants from the garden?

Answer

Please do not pick plants or flowers from the outdoor garden at Phipps.

Can I smoke?

Answer

Phipps is a smoke free facility; smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings, tents or grounds.

What color are the wedding parties wearing? I'm worried I will accidentally match!

Answer

The bridesmaids will wear a dusty sage green and the groomsmen will wear blue suits.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors in the Rose Garden at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The ceremony will be on the grass and the reception will be on concrete. In the event of extremely warm weather, we will ensure that you have access to fans, parasols, and cooling stations. In the event of rainy weather the ceremony and reception will take place under a covered tent in the Rose Garden on the cement walkway.

If you do not feel comfortable traveling to Pittsburgh due to ICE's active presence please know that we will not hold it against you!
