Downtown Newport is a busy summer destination, so we recommend booking as soon as you can if you plan to stay downtown. We have blocked off a limited amount of rooms at the Hampton Inn & Homewood Suites, see our travel page for more details. There are also many wonderful local B&Bs and Inns, as well as AirBnBs and VRBOs for larger parties who would like to stay together. Alternatively, Middletown is very accessible and close to downtown—with plenty of affordable accommodations, but is not walkable.
Newport does offer a free “Hop-On Hop-Off” trolley service during the summer months with a stop near the wedding venue if you choose to stay downtown. For those opting to stay in Middletown, we will have a shuttle to and from the venue on Saturday, the 13th. There is also reliable public transportation between Middletown and Newport, as well as local cab companies, Uber and Lyft. Parking is limited in Newport, so we do recommend avoiding driving, if possible.
We ask that you celebrate with us in Semi-Formal style. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. We want you to be comfortable & festive for our summer wedding - whatever you wear, bring your dancing shoes.
We are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitations. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for your entire party.
We have limited our gathering to children of family and close friends only, so we ask that you only bring children that are included on your invitations. This will also be noted by the names listed under your party when you RSVP.
We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras). The best present you can give us is to be present as we say "I Do". We have hired professionals to capture this special moment for us, so please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!
The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be held outdoors.
