Jahri and Hayley’s story began in the most classic high school way. She was 15, he was 16, and they first crossed paths in the busy lunchroom. Jahri noticed her right away, but instead of walking up to her, he worked up just enough courage to ask his friend to get her number for him. Hayley gave it, not knowing that this tiny moment in the middle of a school day would be the start of something big. From the moment they started texting, it all felt easy and natural. They quickly became those two who always met up in the hallways between classes, who looked for each other between the crowds, and who tried to squeeze in a few extra minutes together after school whenever they could. Sneaking after school, and endless FaceTime calls. Even though they were young, every little moment made it feel more and more like they were exactly where they were meant to be. It wasn’t long before the “I love you’s” came out. Jahri said it first, and Hayley said it right after him, she had been waiting to say it too. What started as a shy high school crush turned into the sweetest kind of love, the kind that grows. Their love has proven itself time and time again, carrying them through their hardest moments, their biggest challenges, always choosing each other, always showing up, no matter what. Now the young couple are ready to say their “I do’s” and step into forever, hand in hand.
