Moriah has known Rukiya since September 2009. The two were strategically placed with each other during their High School entry callback for musical theatre. Having been the only two black girls at this call back amongst a room of white people, they instantly gleaned to one anther. 11 years later and these two have remained two peas in a pod! Moriah was the vessel that led Rukiya to her greatest gift "Jesus Christ." And since then a new found love and friendship rised to the occasion. Rukiya could never question that Moriah would fill the role of her maid of honor for this special day. Her prayers, support and council has been the back bone of Rukiya's process! Everyone Meet MORIAH!!
Jeff
Best Man
Jahred’s older brother, Jeff is his Best Man. Jeff has always had his little brothers back, through thick and thin. Even though the two are six years apart they are still close and Jeff has always been a role model and a person Jahred looked up to growing up.
Kiya

Zakiya and Rukiya met in 2007. Rukiya's mom and Kiya's cousin were best friends and the moment they were introduced to each other, because of the similar names the two immediately called each other twins! Though 1 month and 20 days apart (Kiya would throw in there she's the older twin lol) no one could tell these two blood couldn't make them any closer. Kiya has always been a great sister to Rukiya. Kiya was always the sister/friend that would hold Rukiya accountable, love on her no matter distance/time, show up for every occasion that celebrated Rukiya, encourage her during hard seasons of her life and tell it LIKE IT IS about any person around her that didn't value Rukiya the way they should! Rukiya could never imagine sharing this day without the authentic, turn up sister Kiya!
Nick

Nicolas is the fiancé of Rukiya’s sister, Radayshia. Jahred and Nicolas have become like brothers as they both are super excited to take their fiancé’s hand and start their own families. Jahred and Nicolas have grown and connected to be close friends relating on common interest such as God, family and business ideas. The two are brothers even before both of their weddings.
Alana
Bridesmaid
Alana and Rukiya met in Los Angeles 2015. Both being from New York, immediately was drawn to each other. Rukiya admired Alana for her authenticity considering there weren't many women like that around her in college. The two begin to draw closer, just by seeing each other and acknowledging a familiar beautiful east coast sister. Having lived in the same dorm for a year, the two shared good times, hard times, tears, prayers and plenty of laughter/jokes. Alana opened her home to Rukiya in 2017. Jesus being the center of this friendship, the two to grew tremendously together no matter distance. Alana was the first to know of the promise God gave Rukiya & Jahred and has supported it since then. Accountability sister she is! And Rukiya wouldn't dare leave her out of a moment such as this!
Dylan
Groomsman
Jahred met Dylan in college in 2018. As they both trained in dance together as one of the few men in the program, they formed a friendship; relating not only through dance but also as both being Believers in Christ. The two developed a close friendship during their senior semester and graduated and remained close still to this day.
Sophia
Matron of Honor
Sophia and Rukiya divinely met at a women's group, at an old church Rukiya used to Attend. 2018-2019, had to be a tough year for Rukiya in her walk with the Lord. She was still a babe in Christ and encountered some hardship in that year. Sophia was strategically placed in Rukiya's life during that time. And what a blessing she was! The wisdom, transparency of her testimony helped Rukiya get through seasons, she could have never endured on her own. Sophia exampled a big sister to Rukiya in many forms. Sophia has always wanted God's best for her and ensured she was pushed in that direction. Sophia has contributed to Rukiya's wedding in so many ways (starting with her beautiful dress) and Rukiya couldn't have let her missed being this closely involved with her big day!
Paul
Groomsman
Paul is originally the pastor and mentor of Rukiya. The two were connected by God and have been doing the Lord’s work all around New York City. As the Lord brung Jahred and Rukiya together, Rukiya asked to have Paul and Jahred meet one another. Since that meeting Paul has been a mentor to Jahred as well and great help. He has given the couple invaluable insight into God’s intent for marriage and wise counsel to the soon to be husband and wife.
